Before setting up H&R Healthcare, Mike was a Board Director at BSN Medical (now part of Essity) and was Marketing Director at Smith & Nephew Wound Management Division. He originally comes from a consumer marketing background, having worked at Boots and Asda. Mike sold H&R Healthcare to Mediq NL in March, 2020 and continues to manage the business.
In addition to managing H&R, Mike is a Board member of Matoke Holdings and an Advisor to Onbone Oy.
He also owns and runs a Medical Textiles business, Medalin Ltd, based in Leicester. He is Chair of The Lindsay Leg Club Foundation (Charity) which he helped found in 2004 and whose overriding objective is to protect and preserve health amongst those experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, leg ulcers and/or associated conditions.
Mike was educated at Bishop Wordsworth Grammar School (Salisbury), and St John’s College, Cambridge.
Louise has been working in the wound care industry for over 20 years. She has been instrumental in the rapid development and growth of the company since its inception in 2006. Louise manages all operational activity including, customer services, finance, logistics, contracts and quality.
She is responsible for ensuring H&R Healthcare deliver a professional and sustainable service to all its customers.
Marketing & Business Development Director
Maria has over 25 years’ experience within the medical device and pharmaceutical industry having previously worked with Smith & Nephew, Boots Healthcare International and Reckitt Benckiser in the specialist areas of wound care and dermatology.
Over this time, she has held various leadership roles and has broad experience in Marketing, Sales, Business and New Product Development.
Maria has been with H&R Healthcare since 2010 and manages the marketing activities as well as new product development and the Surgical and Infection Control sales team.
Maria is committed to developing the product portfolio to deliver high quality, clinically effective affordable solutions to the NHS.
Dougie has spent the last 25 years in pharmaceutical and medical device industries with the last 15 years specifically in woundcare working for Johnson & Johnson, Systagenix and Coloplast.
During this time he has held many sales, marketing and management roles and is committed to working with customers to deliver the best possible patient outcomes.
Dougie joined H&R Healthcare in 2014 and now manages the National Sales Team. With wide knowledge of the wound care market Dougie understands how the H&R Healthcare portfolio can be best utilised to deliver efficiencies and quality whilst offering clinical support to customers at all levels of an organisation.
Nick has over 15 years’ experience within the medical device industry having previously worked for Johnson & Johnson and Coloplast.
Over that time he has held various sales and management roles and has developed an in depth understanding of the NHS.
Nick joined H&R Healthcare in 2014 as the Commercial Director. Nick is fully committed to ensure that H&R Healthcare work in partnership with our suppliers to provide products and solutions to clinicians that improve patient outcomes and control cost.
