What is Hyiodine?
Hyiodine is a viscous solution (gel) composed of hyaluronic acid, iodine and potassium iodide. Hyiodine creates an ideal moist environment in the wound and speeds up the healing process. It promotes granulation and epithelialisation of the wound and prevents maceration.
Hyaluronic acid is a natural part of the human body, an integral part of connective tissues including the extracellular matrix. It has unique regenerative properties and plays a key role in the tissue repair process.
The iodine complex preserves the hyaluronic acid from bacteria degradation and makes the product suitable for healing infected wounds. The concentration of iodine is designed to have no toxicological impact.

Case studies
Dehisced infected surgical wound following toe amputation. After 9 weeks Hyiodine treatment the wound was filled with granulation tissue and epithelialising. The wound was completely healed within 18 weeks.
Diabetic wound after amputation of toes, initial therapy with negative pressure was stopped due to poor effect. Very quick wound response to the new dressing, after 3 weeks the wound is clean and filled with granulation tissue. Complete healing was reached in week 14.
